My 2017 goal, yes 2017, was to start a blog. This took me a whole entire year to complete because I was constantly doubting myself and kept thinking who would ever care to read my blog? Over the course of the last year, I decided that I care, and that’s all that truly matters.
When I was a kid, our Dad used to wake us up before dawn and ask us if we wanted to go on a “ramble.” This meant piling into the car in the pre-dawn light, being rewarded with the first fresh donuts of the day, and then hitting the road for the hills, the beach, or the desert. The idea that you can start a fresh day with no plan and have an amazing adventure was instilled in me early on. I’ve always grown up looking at each weekend as a chance to get out and make your own story - and now, I want to help you make your own stories.
I want to take this time to say, thank you. I’m so glad you’re here to take a peek to see what Ramble State is all about! I absolutely love exploring new places through the local people, food, and the scenery; and what I’m even more passionate about is sharing those experiences. My commitment to you is to break down how to have a ballin’ adventure on a budget, and how to have an amazing adventure right in your own backyard. I’m a ‘picture is worth a 1,000 words’ type of woman, so you’re going to get the need to know basics: GPS coordinates for trail heads, links to the best food and Airbnb listings, essentials to pack, and a million photos that will speak for themselves.
I’m so glad you’re here and I’m thankful for you! If you have any thoughts or if there's anything you would love to see, please let me know in the comments!
Happy rambles this 2018. ~
